I can tell you how I handled this situation. I sold my lathe and bought a 9A. The price I got for my old one and the price I paid for the 9A with a GCGB was a lot less than the cost of a GCGB not

That first one looks a lot like my 1942 UD Heavy 10R, 199-Y. The giveaway between the 9/10K and the Heavy is that funky spindle lock handle on the tailstock, but the 11 had that as well. The dataplate
