scales that are longer than the travel
distance for each direction. The scales can be shortened (even glass scales). I bought a Chicom kit sold on Ebay by 200 different sellers. The scales were glass. It took some time to disassemble the scales and cut them, but it was not that hard to do. I did not use the included mounting hardware preferring to make my own for a better fit. It has been 3 years since the install and it works great. If you buy one, I can send you a manual that I found online, which is much better than the one written by the slave laborer for my kit.
