Thanks much for the tip and link Bill. I¡¯ll check them out and play with the angle more. Shars actually said something to that effect. Said that some folks have had luck with that tool by lowering it below the centerline.? Greg

Not a lot of machining experience here, but did play with carbide tooling on the machines at school & at home. The working lathe at home is an Atlas. Not a terrible machine, but not as sturdy as a Heavy 10, either. Hope someday to have a functional Heavy 10L here. Still needs a bunch of work.?
