Genius idea! I¡¯m going to try and trim the bottom of the block with a carbide cutter. If it doesn¡¯t work out, this will be my Plan B.

Hi There,
I have modified a couple of Aloris tool holders using HSS.? In my case,
I had a couple BX1 tool holders that wouldn't fit the dovetail on my tool
post (an Aloris BXA).? I have a large 60¡ã cutter and I made a couple of
light passes (about .003") to open up the dovetail to make it fit.
I had an occasion that I needed to lower the tool block and I just moved
the tool post on the compound so the dovetail section hung off the side
enough to allow the tool block to clear the top of the compound.?
