I understand that HBP upset people and limit action I have not had full time to read it yet and am actually having difficulty getting into but my question is...fanfiction is taking a part of a story or aspect of it and taking to the extent of your imagination so why is it that people feel certain groups of fanfiction or dying. Not just HP but others as well. I mean look at what Bob and Alyx have done with the HP story line...took some aspect of the story and then ran wild with there own ideas. So why does fanfiction of certain group must die...I admit what I heard from HBP is not promising but guess what I get my HP/HG fix in fanfiction so I'm good. Is it that people confuse the book which is canon as being the end all and be all and forget that when your reading a fanfiction is an alternate reality story from the second it changes from the book. Is hard to seperate the two? Just wondering Kelly

Half Blood Prince does not spell the death of Harry Potter fan fiction. Just because I can't see myself getting involved in post HBP fics doesn't mean others won't make the attempt. Let me put it this way. To date Alyx and I have written two H/G six and seventh year fictions, totalling over 400K words. Sunset is just coming up to christmas holiday and I'm not honestly sure if we've even hit the half way point as far as chapter count is concerned. Its a H/Hr ship, and it's sequel will cover the period of the seventh year. Ten Chapters so far and we're very close to 150K words so far. How big it will be when we're done is anyone's guess. Both sets of these books start after OOTP. Which is wonderfully open ended with such a marvelous starting point. Unfortunately HBP has narrowed the options tremendously. Horcruxes, its all about finding, destroying, eating and otherwise killing horcruxes. In canon R/Hr is pretty much a given. Harry kicked Ginny to the curb and will probably end up with no one. So much for love being the power he knows not. Personally I'm rooting for a Harry Hedwig ship. Silly of me I know, but unless Ginny somehow manages to knock some sense into Harry, its just not going to happen. - Bob

Hey Bob and Alyx. I was pleasantly surprised, delighted even, to see you started your own group. As you know, I hope, I've been enjoying your stories for several weeks now, and chapter 10 is definitely another great one. As I think I've said before, what I most enjoy about this story is how you've exptapolated certain characteristics of the various characters and made them you own and still remained true to canon in their personalities more or less. I loved the overwrought Molly in this chapter and how she's so clueless and trying to blame everyone else for her problems, which she obviously started herself. In fact I thought the whole hearing was quite well done. Amelia Bones being part of the board gives a whole new meaning to the phrase conflict of interest, and I absolutely love it. Even though it puts her in a delicate spot legally I would think, it still goves her some power to influence the whole scenario. That is very well done, in my not-so-humble opinion. (Why be humble about your opinions, right? They're yours, be proud of them even it they're out to lunch) So anyway, I could spend several hours analyzing the whole chapter, which would be totally pointless I think, so I will just say another hearty WELL DONE!! I'm greatly enjoying the story, I'll be glad to add to the mayhem here like I do on Abraxan's group if you'd like, and thanks for sharing your wonderful stories with us. Hi, I've just joined this group and I thought I would say hello

I reviewed on FF, but i had to mosey on down the road to see what all the hubub was about at your yahoo group. Pretty snazzzy. Loved the stories. I am definitely waiting anxiously...for the next installment. When i started writing mine i assured myself that i'd always be several chapters ahead so i could post easily and not be swayed by reviewers. HA. Yes, I am a reviewer junkie.They started coming in and i threw all my previously written chapters out in one premature...well. It wasn't pretty. All that happened was i didn't get reviews on any of the chapters but the last one. Serves me right. Sorry. I'm apparently too self-involved to realize this is YOUR review. I LOVE your writing style. How difficult is it to allow someone else to mess with your writing? If my hubby tried to write something i didn't like on my story i'd be snarkier than hell. Actually, it works well for us 'cuz he loves to read and review then we get to brainstorm together about what happens next. I Love that. I just don't want him to write it. He doesn't want to, so that's all good. I'm a control freak, as you can tell. And i'm talking about myself again. Oh well. I love the stories and i expect more. So deal with it. You have Narcissa in this chapter at the trial. I thought she was still recovering and in hiding? I mean wouldn't word get out that she was seen in Hogsmeade? I really am enjoying this story, and I am glad i found this story early. The other two took me three days to read, but it was so worth it. I also know that you have stated that you will be done writting HP fics after the sequel. Yet I was wondering if maybe there was hope of a Luna and Harry story in the future? Okay one last question...then I'm done I promise. Will Chapter 11 be out Wednesday or early Thrusday? I really hope Bob and Alyx write a sequel to HBP. All the ones I've read are 1K chapters, with a horcrux destroyed in every other chapter. If they decided to write one, it would be much better. BTW can anyone recommend good post HBP fanfiction?

When does Voldemort & Snape get to make the disclaimers? S P O I L E R S P A C E What a wonderful chapter. Will Dumbles ever get his comeupince? The thought of them making Harry & Hermione go through all this is starting to grate on my nerves. I grew up in a Dursley type household and I have never liked Dumbledore. I just hope the ending is worth it.

Just a quick note for those who may not have read the A/N on the subject. It seems that a reviewer is under the impression that our story will be booted from Fanfic.net due to the length of our Author's Notes and because they are too "chatty". We don't really think that will happen but, on the off chance that Sunset over Britain is removed, we can pick up right away, here on the group, without making everyone wait. The group is also a good place to contact us with question or to chat with us about the story. Oh, and if you have any favorite authors or stories, recommend them to the group, would ya? I was just wondering if you plan to put out your previous two story in one large file each? Put together all the chapters?

Ok, do you guys prefer reviews here, or on ff.net? also, do you prefer new threads, or reply's to other threads? so many options.... I would say great work, but that would be an understatement, and then there is all the usual "damn man, i can't wait to read more, get your buts in gear" etc. but whats the point? your writting is great, and you know it! and you only made me late for work twice! but then again, i could blame my alarm clock... i know how hermy feels about spiders, since ive lived in this house, i've had them crawl on my while trying (i dont sleep easily) to sleep, and thinking it was lent, i grabbed it, crushed it, and threw it, and counting the number of marks on my wall *counts* only 10? well, i gues i did only trap a few, and i can't really see the marks on my floor... well, i get alot of "visitors" in my room, i see a spider, i kill it (they make a nice crackling sound when they burn*evil grin*) I do feel sorry for harry's leg....if only he could cut it open, and then get more phoenix tears.... or you know, cut it off, and re-grow it, but then i spose that petty-gross would have done that too hus finger.... Yay! Another chapter! I'm going to put my review here, because I like it better. :) I liked the snowflake necklace, and I would love to hear more about it, when it starts picking on Hrmione's moods. Imagine Harry seeing it darken and running away..... What's up with Ron? I know he's protective of Ginny, but what's in it for Dean and Seamus? And what happened to them? "Firing at the same areas..." that made me wince. Could we have a treat "infirmary scene"? With details on their injuries?... Draco/Luna. I love it! Will Luna ever drop her mask completely in front of her friends? "They don't drop it in piles..." More T-Shirt fun! Please? Pretty please? Pretty please with sugar on top? Pretty please with sugar on top and honey?..... Okay, I've said this before, but I HATE WAITING!!! And most of all, I hate not knowing. Greetings and Salivations I'm just this deranged aussie who does so like his HP fanfic. I also just found this group, despite having read DA from the third chapter when it was posted and obsessively ever since. (Much kudos not only for your writing style, engrossing plots and thematic elements, but also for the speed with which you write, which is far faster than my paltry efforts) I have really been enjoying this story so far and finally thought to ask a few questions: The new Prophecy: THE BASTION OF LIGHT WILL FALL IN THE TIME OF THE BULL… AND THE CHOSEN CHILD MUST FLEE THE ISLE OF MYRDDIN'S BIRTH… DARKNESS WILL ENGULF THE LAND AND THE REALM OF UTHER'S SON WILL BURN…AS LIGHT IS SWALLOWED BY DARK THE DEFENDER MUST WATCH FROM A FAR… THE BASTION OF LIGHT WILL FALL IN THE TIME OF THE BULL…" I was breaking it down, As I understand it, in May, Hogwarts will fall, which is the cue for Harry and Co to flee England (I do note that Scotland wasnt part of Uther's son's realm, so no burnination up there, neither in Ireland, just Lower and central england and wales). Doesnt Harry own lands on the Isle of Wight? or Ireland? Northern Scotland? I'd be amazed if the Potters or Blacks didnt own any in those areas. Or will he be going to another part of the world? I'm all in favour of him heading to Australia till May from Christmas, then heading back to deal with Voldi. Other points: Is it just me or is Bellatrix's arm blown off in diagon alley in far too many fics? This makes about 8 different stories I have read where that happens *grins* Draco/Luna: That has to be the strangest paring I have seen short of the Draco/Squid one I once saw..... and just as wrong. Damm your stories are addictive. I find myself hanging out for my next fix before you publish it. Do the Potter and Black families have seats on the Wizamgamot? If so, how will Harry be treating these? Will he be voting or just proxy his seats off to someone he trusts like Amelia? Monkeys: enough said Narcissa Malfoy: Kind hearted mother who has been cruelly abused, or does she also buy into the whole pure-blood superiority like her sister Bellatrix? Tonks: Will she and Andromeda be added back onto the Black family tapestry with Bellatrix removed? Pants! How are the other Slytherins reacting to this new 'supposedly dark' Harry? Obviously they will do nothing publically, but now he has been moved from 'Pawn of the Headmaster', someone that no Slytherin would ever trust, to unknown agents/quantity. For that matter, what about the ravenclaws and puffs? Or are they sheep like the Gryffs?
