If I'm not mistaken wasn't there a commercial for the iPhone when it first came out that played up that point.

Yes, just where do they keep the piece of wood with one end soaked in pitch and wrapped in cloth?
Joking aside, most mobiles that have the Torch function use the Flash LED and just turn it on rather than just a quick pulse like when taking a photo.

1. No British accent. Although I was born in the vicinity of Anfield (near Liverpool), I wasn't there during the years I picked up most of my language skills.
2. I had no idea it would also work on Android. 3. I have a friend for whom it didn't work, either. I'm now wondering (since I just upgraded this week from a broken iPhone 7 Plus) whether it's a relatively new feature. I learned of this while watching a YT video about little-known Siri capabilities from a British tech channel, and when I saw that this was thrown in a a "bonus," I had to try it immediately.?Amusingly, when I said, "Hey, Siri ... lumos," my phone did nothing.?My iPad, on the other hand, which was across the room, did respond and light up. At least, I learned how to invoke Siri on my new phone.? |
开云体育Sorry I’m late to the conversation, but I have been using this function on my Google Pixel 2, 3, 4 and Samsung a-533 for about two to three years now.? Sadly, I never thought to share with the group. Definitely makes it easier for those with visual issues, but then telling Google or Bixby to turn camera on or off isn’t that difficult either. ? Regards, TBD ? ? >> On Thu, Jun 23, 2022 at 8:57 PM Steve Wheeler <steven.r.wheeler@... <mailto:steven.r.wheeler@...>> wrote: ? |
well...obviously google has stolen that from the light side, being the heart and soul of dark magic laughs.

Check your phone settings...
I know Android has a setting to turn OFF voice commands. This disables the voice command listening and prevents verbal commands from working.
Apple products might have something similar.
