Re: help placing a quotation?
I stayed in until I had to go to work at 9pm, the weather was good and so was traffic then but I was still late for work. I ran into a Sobriety Check roadblock about half way to work. Next day wasn't so good, but it was the 5th anniversary on my Mom's passing.

No reason to be bashfu we cannot track you just from a city!? Step in and say hello. On Mon, Mar 20, 2023 at 11:10?PM Karen Lewellen <klewellen@...> wrote: Hey Alex! |

Greetings from Toronto. Will answer my own question..sort of. Because Danny boy was written in 1910, the best guess I could gather, given this particular recording pre-dates the Irish troubles seems to be a conflict in the early 1900s. How was your St. Patrick's? My friend, who threw the party, says our event was a 90. Kare On Mon, 20 Mar 2023, Alex Cherry wrote:

Re: Help with FanFiction Downloader
I switched to ficlab when fanfictiondownloader started to have more issues, not sure if it works with Mac but you can give it a look over and see.

That is part of the presentation mr. Belafonte used in his recording. If you read in the same article, the actual lyrics, they do not include those lines. In fact, this is my source for them, and they are spoken, not sung. On Fri, 17 Mar 2023, mtiller via groups.io wrote:

Re: help placing a quotation?
Indeed, that is where I am drawing the line from. However, Wikipedia does not share where mr. belafonte himself got those lines from.

Nor does Wikipedia say the lines are in the actual lyrics to the song. t On Thu, 16 Mar 2023, heelfree via groups.io wrote:

the specific line I quoted is in Danny boy?

I ask because, when researching the song, I came across the Harry belafonte recording referenced where he speaks these lines. Wikipedia did not indicate they were apart of the song, note the actual lyrics provided earlier in that article. On Thu, 16 Mar 2023, heelfree via groups.io wrote:

1957 Harry Belafonte sang the song from the album "An Evening with Harry Belafonte", where he began the song with a spoken recitative, before singing the 2 verses. He repeated the second half of the first verse the second time around. The Recitative goes: "The Time, a time of strife. The Place, the place is Ireland. And as Irish legend had it, as the last rose of Summer fell, and all the young men of Ireland were to gather to strike a blow For Ireland's Freedom and Ireland's Liberty, There were songs for those who stayed at home, and songs for those who went away, and all of Ireland was sad". In the wiki article
there is a reference to a Harry Belafonte recording which included this recitative. "The Time, a time of strife. |
