Help with Timelime

Hello all,

I am composing a new story, with the help you all gave me in asking about fic prompts. I didn't find one which appealted me, but I was given some inspiration. I came up with an idea of Molly Weasley of being convicted for the comment she made at the Leakey Cauldron about her use of Potions in regard to Arthur.?

I had a question... Did Molly's comment happen:?

At dinner the night before, everyone headed to Kings Cross?

Or did it happen the morning that the everyone headed out to the Harry (and everyone else who was schoolhood aged headed to Kings Cross?

THANK YOU SO MUCH!

It sounds familiar, but I don't know, sorry.? I have one of my own:

?

Harry is tracked (via blood?) and to keep from being caught he has to jog around the block or ride around with the Grangers while Hermione destroys the blood-binding, and it's something to do with melting a plate in their back yard or something?

?

I feel like it's Robst or a similar author?

Re: Plagiarist again

Your point about future employment is a fine one.
These days human resources folk search social media..sometimes not hiring based on what is found.

You are a plagiarist. This was written by Bobmin, long ago, before he died
of cancer. This is despicable - and not just because of the other
plagiarized stories here under your screen name. I would say, 'you should
be ashamed of yourself,' but I'm unsure you would care. You do know that
later in life, should an employer look for things and reasons not to hire
you, this might pop up. Who would willingly hire a thief? Sure, it's just
words now, but it can graduate to money all too easily. Is this action
worth sabotaging your future when you least expect it? Karma, you know.
Assuming you believe in that, but as we all know, it's when disbelieving
arrival of consequences gets here is when it's the worst. So... do the
right thing and take all this down. Use the industry you're showing in
stealing a dead man's work to make honest work of your own.
I doubt it'll work, but it made me feel better about it.

Re: [CaerAzkaban] Plagiarist again

Very glad Tommy you included alyex's group here.
I will say it again. If anyone follows the fanfiction.net admin on twitter, I would post these heaves each time they show.
Simply contacting support seems not to be enough.
Letting advertisers discover the site supports stealing? that might get them moving.

I was totally disgusted with them, they must have a really boring life if copying and pasting other people's work is what helps them get their rocks off.

I've got a feeling that this person has multiple accounts all posting plagiarised stories as I found this account on the favourite author list of a plagiarist called aerie2

Re: LFF House Elves #ficsearch

Ok have now looked through all the linked stories and am afraid to say none are the story I am looking for, to be honest its so old it probably has been removed years ago.

I don't think there were any trunk homes in the story, I think I remember a hidden valley kind of area, if that gives anyone any ideas.

But I do appreciate all the links to different stories, loved them all.

Thanks

Re: LFF House Elves #ficsearch

That's not the exact one I was thinking of, which was instead this:

But it's incomplete and only five chapters.? Matt's right that there's a pretty decent number of crossovers in which Harry pulls the "manor-trunk" trope with a pile of money and house-elves and jumps to SG-1, or some other fandom.

Just sort HP/SG1 fic by reviews and set the ratings to ALL on FF.net and you'll find three or four of those type on the first two pages of results.

Try Writing & Junk -??
loads of different challenges there and you can participate with any fandom

Re: Help finding Fic Prompts and/or Fic Challenges

The subreddit has a lot of prompts for stories. Look for posts labeled with the "Prompt" flair. Some include what is effectively the first chapter of the story, but others are just the bare idea. I posted this one a couple of years ago that got some good responses:
Animagi are rare. This makes Padfoot a topic of much interest among the dogs, and he indulges their curiosity, letting them know about his life, his family, his friends, and his godson. When the Potters are betrayed, he uses the Twilight Bark to help track Pettigrew down. His confrontation with Pettigrew and subsequent arrest having been witnessed by a couple of the dogs who helped, the word goes out: "Padfoot can't take care of Harry; it's up to us!"
For those unfamiliar with the reference, or whose memory, like mine, is starting to slip the occasional gear, the Twilight Bark comes from "101 Dalmations." One of the responses to the prompt brought in a reference to "The Rescuers," which I thought was wonderful, and had not thought of.

Re: Help finding Fic Prompts and/or Fic Challenges

If you’re working in that genre I’d like to see a “James/Lily survive” but through their own intelligence and foresight rather than magical coincidence. And no “wrong twin who lived” parental abandonment either.

My one-line seed prompt would be “James, this is stupid. Why are we trapping ourselves like this? It’s like we’re the bait for that bastard.” Said Lily one evening after putting Harry down for the night.
