Here is a solution that works. This is for windows, this might work on others depending on how you deal with hosts. If ff.net still isn't working for you on windows, Open admin command prompt Enter

The way is simple, the problem is that when this happens I have no idea what numbers to plug in for Pit of Voles, that's what the DNS is supposed to provide automatically.

On Linux you can put that into /etc/hosts (which has the same name as on Windows as both took the idea and name from BSD afaik). Cheers Daniel
