Re: [CaerAzkaban] What is up with ff.net not showing updates? (fwd)

Hi folks,
Sharing this below, along with the advice I posted.
One thing about ff.net being so old is that many author's with beloved works, likely have forgotten they even have stuff there.

Or that people still read that stuff.
If I had access to the site, <I do not> and I am guessing private communication still works?
I would reach out to every writer on your favorites and follow lists, encouraging them to move their stuff, while sharing just why you love their stories.
Might solve some silent mysteries, even result in some writers returning to unfinished gems.
Kare

Just as a note, I'm hearing down the grapevine that FFN has actually pulled all of their admin and mod staff off the website entirely months ago so they can work on fictionpress.com instead and have completely left FFN to flounder and die on its own, which may account for why the website has been completely losing its head in terms of usability in the last while. It may be time for people to start saving fics they don't want to lose access to just in case; I'm hearing that a lot of authors are already starting to port their work to A03.
