Heh... actually it's officially known as the Gem State... :)
We're up in the panhandle, within 60 miles of the canadian border and close enough to throw rocks at canada. In fact it's one of our favorite pasttimes. We figure if we throw enough rocks at them, they will sink making our property beachfront property. :)
