This is a full-time position based on the island of Saipan. You would work as an independent contractor for AA with pay commensurate with experience and educational background. Job Description and Responsibilities:
- The archaeologist position is under the direction of the AA Principal Investigator and would involve participation in the planning and performance of archaeological field projects on the island of Saipan;
- Responsibilities include pre-field research at the local historic preservation office, conducting field projects, providing supervision to local field technicians, overseeing archaeological field projects, and co-authoring written reports of project results;
- Project types would primarily include archaeological monitoring, with inventory survey, evaluation, burial treatment, and other data recovery projects also occurring on the island.

Archaeological field technicians for Phase I survey near Knoxville, TN
Project Description and Schedule
UES is hiring multiple field technicians to help conduct a Phase I Archaeological Survey near Knoxville, TN. We have project-specific work opportunities that will develop into career-trajectory placement for the right person. This work will begin Monday, November 11 and go until November 15, and potentially lead to additional work opportunities in the region.
Compensation
The hourly wage for this project will be between $23 and $27, commensurate with experience and attitude. UES’ preference is for a field tech local to the Knoxville area and its vicinity but will consider applications from non-local techs. UES will provide single-room accommodation near the project area, along with $60 per diem and will provide daily transport to and from the site. Non-local field techs will be responsible for arranging their travel to and from the project area at the beginning and end of the field session. This opportunity is fast approaching so apply today! Responsibilities
- Conduct shovel testing and pedestrian survey for Phase I Archaeological Surveys under the supervision of a UES field director.

We are seeking a full-time SOI qualified Archaeological Field Director to aid in multiple Cultural Resource projects. The Field Director will be based out of their home location but expected to travel for fieldwork. When not in the field, the applicant
will work remotely from home.? The Field Director will be responsible for assisting in background research, training and supervising field crews, conducting safety meetings, completing quality control of the crew’s work, submitting detailed and accurate paperwork,

Archaeologist/Monitor – PA/NJ/NY area - Full Time, Permanent
Richard Grubb & Associates (RGA) is seeking to hire an archaeologist for monitoring and/or archaeological survey projects located in Philadelphia, PA, New Jersey, and Southeastern New York/NYC. Although this position is primarily dedicated to monitoring projects,
as workload allows, there would be additional opportunities to work on other types of projects and survey phases as well.

Applicants should be available to travel to project sites within Philadelphia or New Jersey. Projects will be located primarily in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast and may also be located in other parts of the U.S. and its territories. Prior work experience in
the Mid Atlantic or Northeast region is preferred.

The pay range for this position is 29.00 – 36.00 per hour depending on qualifications. The anticipated monitoring projects have per diem and accommodation available. The monitoring projects may require night or weekend work which will be paid at a range of
45.00 – 54.00 per hour. This is a non-exempt position, eligible for overtime.

Responsibilities for this position include:

Observe and document construction activities within archaeologically sensitive areas;

Maintain detailed notes, organized field data, and files;

Communicate daily with project managers to ensure that project goals are being met;

Interact in a professional manner with subcontractors and project team members on site daily;

Review and maintain quality control of all field?and artifact data;

Regularly upload notes and photographs to a company server;

Communicate with project?managers;

Contribute to technical reports.
Qualified applicants must possess:

Master’s degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or closely related field (SOI qualified);

Communication and problem-solving skills;

Ability to work with a staff team;

Experience in identifying and documenting pre-contact and historic artifacts, cultural features, and archaeological sites;

Experience?with urban archaeology;

A valid driver’s?license and reliable transportation;

Ability and willingness to travel;

Experience using a Trimble Geo7x or similar handheld GPS is preferred.

The position may require the candidate to?traverse up to 10 miles per day for fieldwork and frequently move equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.
