Company name :ICF ? Job description: ? ICF seeks On-Call Archaeologists for Crew Chief and Crew Member levels for our Pacific Northwest region (based in Seattle, Portland, or Central Oregon).? The On-Call/Temporary Archaeologist will initially be working on a large pedestrian block survey in north-central Oregon expected to run for 2+ months, working 8 days on - 6 days off field schedule. This project is expected to start in mid-to-late May. Single occupancy hotels will be provided for 8 day rotations as well as transportation to and from Seattle/Portland/Central Oregon, if needed. $68 per diem is also provided for working days. Additional work after this survey is available and would primarily include fieldwork, with tasks including construction monitoring, survey, testing, evaluation, and data recovery. However, other duties could include laboratory analysis, conducting background research, report writing, and other tasks as assigned. This position requires excellent field skills, the ability to identify precontract and historic-period artifacts, and taking detailed field notes. About On-Call Employment with ICF Given the seasonal or project-specific nature of our environmental work, ICF often hires environmental professionals as ¡°On-Call¡± employees. On-Call employees are scheduled for work hours as they become available (while we usually schedule work hours a few weeks ahead of time, last minute scheduling may also occur), and?each on-call employee is free to accept or refuse the hours assigned to them in a given week. On-Call employees may work concurrent projects outside of their ICF assignment (as long as their outside work does not create a conflict of interest with the work they do for ICF).
