Wapsi Valley Archaeology, Inc. is now accepting applications for a Field Archaeologist (at Technician or Project Archaeologist level) to assist with Upper Mississippi River boat surveys and other fieldwork.
Pay range: $20-$26/hour
Type of Position: Seasonal/temporary/project basis; possibility for permanent position.
Responsibilities: Assist with all levels of fieldwork in Iowa, Illinois, Minnesota, and Wisconsin.
Experienced boat driver desired. Experience using GPS/GIS preferred.
Requirements:
? B.A. or graduate degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, or a closely related field.
? Experience with archaeological fieldwork in the upper Midwest.
Wages will be based on experience and qualifications. This position will involve fieldwork in all sorts of weather and field conditions.
