Field Techs needed in Kentucky
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýCultural Resource Analysts, Inc.¡¯s (CRA¡¯s) Kentucky Office is currently seeking archaeological field technicians for phase I archaeological surveys located in south-central and western Kentucky. A bachelor¡¯s degree in anthropology or archaeology, attendance in a field school, and fieldwork experience are required. Regional fieldwork experience is preferred. It is imperative that candidates be able to work 8¨C10 hour days in a variety of conditions. Stooping, bending, and lifting are essential functions of this position.? One survey will begin in mid-December and likely last through February while another will begin in mid-January and likely last into early March. Employment Type: Hourly, Part-Time These positions are temporary, but technicians who excel in their work will be considered for continuing work after the completion of this project. Benefits: CRA is a member firm of the American Cultural Resources Association (ACRA). ACRA, through a partnership with the Small Association Leadership Alliance (SALA), is pleased to offer its members a new ACRA Healthcare Program. Part-time and temporary employees, such as field technicians, who work for ACRA member firms are eligible to enroll. Once you are enrolled in health care through this program, you continue coverage even if you change jobs.?Your coverage only discontinues if you terminate it. More information on plans, pricing and how to enroll in the plan(s) will be included with New Hire documents.? Compensation: The hourly rate will be between $19.25 ¨C $21.25, based on experience. Work days will begin and end at the hotel site. For non-local field technicians, a per diem rate of $46.00 will be issued. Single occupancy lodging will be provided for all days worked. The survey beginning in mid-December will be a 5 day on, 2 day off schedule for the duration, with a two week break for the holidays. The mid-January survey will be 10 days on, 4 days off. For out of state residents, hotels will be provided for the latter survey on the 4 day weekends. Job Description and Responsibilities:
