Iowa City based temporary, part-time field techs needed

The position will be based out of the Tallgrass Archaeology office in Iowa City, Iowa with fieldwork occurring throughout the state of Iowa. Fieldwork will begin immediately and is expected to continue late into the season as ground conditions allow. Pay rate is $18 - $20 per hour, commensurate with experience. Paid holidays for all part-time staff. Minimum Qualifications: B.A./B.S in Archaeology, Anthropology, or related field with prior coursework in archaeology, prehistory, and history. Archaeological field school in North America. Ability to perform manual labor associated with shovel testing, screening, and pedestrian survey in a range of environmental conditions. Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. Attention to detail and good communication skills. Ability to work in a collaborative environment.
