Bluestone Research group is seeking qualified crew chiefs and ?project leaders. Applicants should be archaeologists with Master’s degrees or a comparable experience level for a potential upcoming project in costal North Carolina. The project will be a massive phase I survey of high probability landforms to be undertaken over the course of 5 years. The project will include shovel testing approximately 50,000 acres. There will be breaks between field seasons for laboratory and conservation work. Phase II excavations will likely come out of this project.

Salary range is expected to be $28-30 an hour depending on experience plus no-receipt per diem. With the possibility of raises and being brought on as a full-time employee when the project is not in session. Per diem will be paid for all work done further than 50 miles from home. Depending on the part of the project area, per diem will either be 157 a day not including hotel or 55 per day including hotel. Additional compensation may be awarded for excellent performance such as finding a high number of easily missed sites.?
