Job Description?
The purpose of this role is to direct and complete archaeological projects (i.e., survey, monitoring, testing, and/or data recovery). Projects are located throughout Central and Southern California.?
Primary Duties
Perform archaeological research and conduct record searches; direct and participate in all types of archaeological investigations; prepare cost scopes and budgets; assist with development of research designs and work plans; and prepare technical reports documenting the results of research and fieldwork.

- Applicants will have experience with cultural resource site evaluations and make recommendations regarding NRHP and/or CRHR eligibility, findings of effects, and applicable methods for site avoidance, minimization, and/or mitigation. They will have the ability to assess significance, identify applicable NRHP and/or criteria of eligibility, and evaluate integrity.
- Ability to manage and track budgets and schedules
- Coordinate with fellow employees, prime consultants, and permitting agencies
- Work independently to resolve project challenges with minimal supervision
- Marketing to promote our services
- Perform travel that may include overnight stays for extended periods of time

?Job Qualifications?
- Minimum of MA or MS in anthropology, archaeology, or a closely related field
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in Cultural Resource Management
- Prior experience preparing technical reports
- Understanding of California prehistory and/or history, archaeological method, and theory
- Understanding of federal and state Cultural Resource Management/Historic Preservation laws
- Experience successfully directing cultural resource investigations
- Experience using GPS and GIS applications?
- Ability to generate, organize, and maintain accurate field records that meet state and federal standards and guidelines.?
- Experience authoring or co-authoring technical reports is preferred
- Ability to perform fieldwork in adverse conditions (e.g., rugged terrain, remote locations, hot and cold temperatures, arid environments, dense vegetation) and carry up to 25 pounds of equipment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Valid Driver's License, with the ability to maintain insurability under the company's insurance carrier
Salary
Position can be Part-Time or Full-Time, commensurate with experience. Full-Time Position pays a salary of $65-$80K per year to start.
