Geo-Marine, Inc seeks applicants for the position of Archaeological Field
Crew for a Phase I shovel test pit survey in western New York. The
Crew will assist the crew chief and Project Archeologists in the survey and
recording of sites. The successful applicant must be willing to work
through dense underbrush in the variable climatic conditions of western New
York.
The successful applicant must have a Bachelor's Degree, preferably in
Anthropology/Archaeology, and should have a general knowledge of
prehistoric and historic material culture; however, the majority of sites
are historic and knowledge of historic materials is preferred. The ability
to
work as a team member is essential and experience in Phase I archeological
surveys preferred.
The position will begin approximately October 21 and last through early
December, 1999, weather permitting. Hourly rate is $13.49. For
