The Project and Outreach Coordinator assists the Contract Archeology Program in its cultural resource assessments for compliance with Section 106 of the NRHP, for Kansas DOT. This will include organizing and planning field projects and conducting field work.
This position also coordinates archeology outreach for the Historical Society, including answering public inquiries, giving presentations, writing social media posts, and working to coordinate the Kansas Archeology Training Program field school.

Graduate Degree in archeology, anthropology, or closely related field.

Must be physically able to carry out pedestrian archeological surveys on all types of terrain and under all kinds of climatic conditions, and to perform standard archeological testing and excavation techniques. ?
