Position Announcement: Archaeologist/Field Director
Description: Work on cultural resource management projects in northern California. Specific duties will include conducting literature and records searches, completing field surveys and identification studies, conducting archival research, taking field photographs, preparing site and property records, making site maps, and writing results sections of CRM reports. Serve as Field Director and assistant to Principal Investigator.
Experience: Meet Secretary of Interior Professional Qualifications Standards for Archeology (36 CFR 61); any others (history, architecture, etc.) a plus. SOPA certification and/or RPA status definitely preferred. Section 106 training highly desirable. Really need someone sharp and dedicated with an anthropology/archaeology/history background; we can work on Section 106 training etc. if you are new to the practice.
Other: Must be willing and able to travel. Firm has three offices in Roseville (main), Oakland, and San Francisco. Use of personal vehicle compensated (per mile rates).
