Molly and Maxie are looking for homes!

开云体育

Here is an adorable picture that our wonderful Leonard Dieguez took of our new Rescue arrivals in San Diego.

Molly is a brown marbled tabby Savannah female that is about a year old. She was surrendered to a shelter in Indiana pregnant with Maxie, who is a melanistic SV female. We estimate Molly to be an F3, she is extremely easy-going, friendly and loving to all she meets. Maxie is a typically playful kitten but she has inherited her mother's loving personality, and so we estimate her to be F4 generation. We do not know who Maxie's daddy was of course.

They would both make great companions for anyone that has recently bought a Savannah kitten and needs a companion, or as a SV in their own right!

They will come spayed, vaccinated and FeLV/FIV tested for an adoption fee of $150 each.

Please contact rescue@... or gattobello@... if you would be interested in offering either or both a great home.

Please, someone offer them a home before young Miss Emily Alessio persuades her mother Kristine to keep them both!!!

Sincerely,
Brigitte

Marble Savannah Female and black (melanistic) Savannah kitten in Rescue

开云体育

These are terrible pictures, and I hope to have better pics from Molly Mae's and Maxie's foster home tomorrow.

Molly Mae was surrendered to a shelter in Indiana pregnant. They could tell at that stage that she was a young cat (less than a year old) and this was her first pregnancy. She has had that litter and all but one had been adopted before someone found Savannah Rescue and contacted us about her. We were certain just looking at these pictures that Molly was a Savannah, she has a lovely head shape, large well-set ears and is a leggy lean build, although a nonstandard pattern for a Savannah (but marbles do occur regularly in most breeding programs). She will be spayed now before going to a new home. From her new foster mom I have heard that Molly purrs the moment she sees a human, and likes to lie on her back and "make biscuits" in the air with her paws. She is super loving and sociable. Someone is going to be very fortunate to have her in their lives.

It's a lot harder to tell with Maxie, being a black kitten as they are notoriously hard to photograph and it definitely seems harder to see type from pics with black (melanistic) SV kittens. Maxie has been handled by many many volunteers at the shelter while growing up so is super-friendly and happy to play with anyone. She's a bundle of energy and would be a perfect companion for anyone with a new Savannah kitten. She comes fully vaccinated and will be spayed soon before leaving for her new home. She is only ten weeks old right now.

Please contact Brigitte at rescue@... or Kristine at gattobello@... for more information about either of these two girls. This is your chance to apply to adopt one of these girls before they are put up on our website and advertised on any other lists.

Thanks,
Brigitte

Retired SV female available

Hi,

This is a new idea we've thought up, mainly to be able to offer the many of you that have joined this list looking to help a Savannah in need of a good home. We are fortunate to have very few Savannahs in need of Rescue, but we know that there are a lot of homes out there. This new venture is a way to offer you a Savannah that is in need of a home, and make a donation to Savannah Rescue for the time when we DO have a Savannah in Rescue and need funds to cover vet bills.

Zoe is a spayed F4 female, she was spayed earlier this year due to complications in a pregnancy. She is a social and loving cat, one of the rare Savannahs that likes to curl up on laps for cuddles. She is vetted and up to date on vaccinations. She has no behavioral issues at all, she gets along well with other cats and is not at all dominant. She is not familiar with dogs (but is likely to accept them after some adjustment period), but would be great with children. She has an exceedingly loving personality once she gets to know you, and will make a perfect pet for some lucky family. She would be available for a donation of $200 to Savannah Rescue, plus any shipping. She is currently in Chicago, IL.

Please contact on of the Rescue Coordinators for more information on this loving SV girl in need of a lap... rescue@... or gattobello@... .

Thanks!

F4 Savannah Female available for adoption

开云体育

Attached are pictures of "Tao", a two year old F4 Savannah female, the pics were taken when she was a year old but are the only ones that I have been given. As you can see she is a an attractive cat, with lovely long legs.

Tao was spayed after pregnancy complications a year ago and is available for adoption, she has not been doing well in a large multiple cat household so we feel that she would be more suitable for a house with maybe one other cat. She does well with dogs, but is not suitable for a house with small children.

Tao loves to play but does not like to be handled or picked up and restrained. She does not sound like she has had a lot of attention in the past year so will require some patience on the part of the adoptive home.

Currently she is still at the home of her owner, but will come vetted and tested for FeLV and FIV, and current on vaccinations.

Please contact me at rescue@... or Kristine Alessio at gattobello@... for more information.

POSSIBLE SAVANNAH IN RESCUE

We received this email from someone who believes they have a Savannah in their rescue organization.? As we have not seen the cat in person and cannot tell from the pictures provided, we cannot state and/or guarantee that this is indeed a Savannah.? However, if you are interested in him, the contact information is below.? This is a courtesy to the rescue organization that has him only.? Again, SVCC Rescue has not determined this cat to be a Savannah.

Hello,

I was referred to you guys in regards to possibly helping us find a suitable home for a special boy we took in over the summer.
His owner was encarcerated and gave up ownership of the kitty to his gf, who then gave him to a neighbor. I was e-mailed with a request to come pick up a "half wi
ld" kitten who was "not adjusting to his new home at all."

I dont know if he was abused, but he is pretty timid around men. He wamrs up to girls pretty quickly, ESPECIALLY when there is food involved! ;-)

I dont know what breeder he originally came from, but the neighbor seemed to think he came from Texas, as the original owner made frequent trips there. However, theres a possibilty that he may have come from southern CA.

Anyhow, here is his profile on our petfinder.

He is very sweet, and isnt at all aggressive. Hes just timid and should be placed in a quiet home with no children or dogs. He HATES dogs. His favorite treat is fresh fish (such as sashimi grade salmon, tuna, etc). He will stop DEAD in his tracks if he knows you have a yummy treat. Like I said, hes very food motivated and could easily be tought simple tricks. So far I taught him to "sit." =)

Hopefully you guys could list him on your site. We would appreciate it greatly!

Best,
Michelle

This lovely spayed F3 female will most likely be coming into rescue soon.? Unfortunately, her current owner has found she does not have the time to spend with her and is gone a lot.? Jada is a brown spotted Savannah who does fine with older children and has been around dogs.? If you are in California and are interested in Jada. Please contact me at gattobello@... and/or Brigitte at brigitte@... Only those who have filled out an adoption application will be considered, so if you have not done so, please do so now.
