I'm so sorry all, this was not meant to go to the group. We try
to work out if a home is a viable option, and I agree that it
would be a squeeze to take a cat that size on a plane. If it is a
short flight and to a perfect home then it is something to
consider though.
Sincerely,

I flew with a kitten in an airline approved carrier and it was a
tight squeeze. I can't imagine a 14-15lb cat fitting. ?

Yes, but are you going to rent a car at the airport to
go fetch Rios? Have you considered taking a strange cat
through security and keeping hold of him as he freaks
out (he is reported to be a very stressed/anxious cat so
this strange experience will be difficult for him) and
then he is said to be a 14-15 lb cat so I am not sure
how easy it is to cram into an airline approved carrier.
Have you ever seen the size, the carrier has to fit in
the space under the seat in front of you. Have you
looked at flights to get you close to Leesburg, FL? Is
there a direct flight or multiple flights?
