Sancho is a large 4 year old F2 neutered male Savannah, currently located in Arrey, NM. He was bred by Majestic Savannahs who have failed to take him back, hence he has been surrendered to Savannah Rescue.
Sancho's surrendering owner believes that he really needs to be an only pet. He was raised with her two cats but as he grew larger his rough play became too much for her to the point that there were injuries to her Sphynx and he has had to be separated. She rehomed him but the people failed to disclose their other cats and it did not work out and he was returned. On his return, she has found him withdrawn and not the same cat and she believes he was abused. It may simply be that being an early generation Savannah he found the changes very disturbing. A new home needs to be prepared for a long and patient introduction and bonding process. Sancho also is reported to urinate outside the litterbox when stressed and upset although he is known to use puppy pee pads at that time. He needs more than one litterbox and they need to be very clean for him to use them. Sancho is leash-trained and enjoys outings.
