Locked New Posting for F4 Female Savannah located near Chicago, IL

F4 Female Savannah located near Chicago, IL

Brianna is a beautiful brown spotted F4 Savannah. She is TICA registered. She will be 7 years old in March and weighs 6.5 pounds. She is spayed and as of 1/25/13 is current on all vaccinations and was given a clean bill of health by our veterinarian. She is not declawed. She is an indoor only cat. She is affectionate and playful and full of personality. She loves to play with cat teasers and other toys. She follows me around constantly and does not like to be alone. As much as she likes to play she also loves to cuddle and is content to sleep on my lap or cuddle up under the covers at night. She was raised with an Egyptian Mau cat and a Rottweiler mix dog and we never had any problems. She was always very affectionate to both of them. Sadly our Egyptian Mau had to be put to sleep due to an illness and she has definitely been a little lonely. On several occasions we had to babysit a Yorkie mix for a family member and it only took her a couple of days to get familiar with the visiting dog. She may be shy with strangers at first but usually comes around pretty quickly and then is very friendly. We have an 18 month old son which was a transition for her but for the most part there have not been any problems. She does like to play a little rough and sometimes can get a little carried away with slight hand aggression so we've always been careful with her around the baby. She is a more talkative Savannah and sometimes is not very discerning of what time of day it is, particularly early in the morning or late at night. She really doesn't have any behavioral issues. She has always had impeccable litter box habits. We originally used clumping litter but for the past few years have been using the Cat Genie. We are more than happy to include her cat tree as part of the adoption. It is with a heavy heart that we are trying to find a new home for her but my husband has severe allergies to cats, which we didn't know when we purchased her, and they get worse with every passing year. Our toddler is also showing signs that he is allergic to cats. Our goal is to find the best forever home possible for her where she will be happy and loved. Since going to a new home will be stressful enough, we do not want to ship her. We live near Chicago and would be willing to transport her within a reasonable distance. We are requesting a $200 adoption fee. The following link contains several pictures of her - . Please contact me at ginamaria826@... with any questions or inquiries.

Locked Placed: F5 Spayed Female.... WA area

Thank you everyone for all the inquiries about Zoey, it appears we have found her a home, and if that falls thru there is another good home available... So unless something crazy happens it looks like she will be placed soon!
Again, thanks for all the calls and emails, she is a special girl and someone is going to be very lucky to have her!

I'm afraid I have no other choice but to rehome my cat, Zoey. I live near Seattle, WA and was told she is an F5 Spayed female, 3 years old, though the woman who rehomed her to me never sent me any documentation or vet records.... Shady lady. She is beautiful however, (could have some bengal in there too somewhere?) very lean and strong, and has a strong will.
She is a lovely, smart cat, never any litterbox issues, she can be chatty at times, makes a strange sound almost like a duck quack lol! Hard to describe. Gives headbutts, especially in the morning and loves being petted.... Hates to be picked up though. Loves drinking water from the sink faucet if I let it run for her :)
She loves the neko flies toys.... Especially the krakonfly that is her absolute favorite :)
The one drawback however, and reason for rehoming is that she has made it clear she desires to be an only cat. I have one other cat, and she is very sweet, non-dominant, however Zoey will attack her whenever she sees her. I have tried to work with them for 4+ months now, and am at the end of my rope. I have a small place to begin with, and 2 cats would be just fine....IF they got along. However, these do not. So I try to keep them separated, and Zoey ends up shut in my room most of the time.... My other cat was here first, and has some potty issues sometimes and I am afraid to keep her in my room for fear she will wet the bed. :( So Zoey has to be kept in there... Since she always uses her box perfectly.
Of course she is very unhappy not getting to roam the house, and I just feel it isn't fair to anyone to be keeping her locked in a room.
I'm looking for a forever home for this lovely girl, however she needs to be an only pet. I think she would also do best without young children.
She has been to my vet for a checkup, she looked good and got a clean bill of health, though I have noticed her hips seem sensitive. I don't know if something happened, or if she has arthritis or what... My vet doesn't know either so perhaps someone would have some ideas about that...? She also has pet insurance and I think it is transferrable so I would definitely recommend continuing it just in case she did need any treatments or anything in the future.
Please email me if interested, though I will be careful who I place her with, as she really deserves a special, loving, forever home just for her...

Locked F6B Melanistic Female "Heloise" Available for Adoption - Toronto, Canada

Heloise is an available young adult F6B melanistic Savannah cat – she has a beautiful sheen black coat with ghost black spotting. She is a very sweet girl when she gets to know you, but is shy around strangers and not good in very busy/noisy environments. Thus, we want to make sure she goes to a quiet home, preferably with only a couple of other cats or calmer dogs. Heloise is very playful and affectionate with other cats, and a real lap cat once she opens up! She is 100% submissive - easy to medicate, clip nails, etc. but we’d prefer she goes to a home with some knowledge/experience with cat behavior. She will take time and patience to adjust to her new home.

Heloise was living with my mother until recently, but after my father became ill and passed away she could no longer handle pets. Heloise is currently staying with us, but with all of the hustle and bustle of kittens, dogs, children and constant guests, she has not been happy. We'd like to find her furrever home before the holidays, if possible.

We are offering Heloise to the right home for a small adoption fee of $100.00 before shipping. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines/deworming, microchipped, and comes with a full health guarantee, tested FeLV/FIV and parasite negative, with her pedigree and TICA/CCA registration, and with a kitty care kit (if going to a local home). She is a clean cat with 100% perfect litter box skills and good manners all around.

Please email us at info@... or call us for more info. We are on Digest setting with Yahoo Groups and will not see replies to this thread. We are located in Toronto, Ontario and can drive within a 4-5 hour radius for the cost of gas (we're inbetween the Detroit and Buffalo borders), and can ship anywhere in Canada or the U.S.

Locked Adult Savannahs in Northern Virginia Area

I am looking for homes for two adult male savannahs in the Northern VA area ONLY.?? I will not ship them.? If you are interested in either boy, please email a description of yourself, your household, and other pets to kim@....

?

Harry is very sweet and friendly boy F4 male (4 yrs old) who was increasingly picked on by one of the owner's other cats.?? Because of this experience, Harry should ideally be the only pet, or at most in a home with only one other mild-mannered cat.? His adoption fee is $150.? Harry is neutered and up to date on vet exams and vaccines.

?

?

Shea is a beautiful F6 male (3 yrs old) that was retired from breeding.?? He is extremely shy but very gentle-natured, and needs a patient person willing to bring him out of his shell.? Because he is so shy, it would be best if he were either the only cat, or were placed with at most one other mild-mannered cat.? His adoption fee is $150.? Shea is neutered and up to date on vet exams and vaccines.

Locked F1 Female for Adoption; Spayed, Non-Standard pattern, 4 years old, 22 lbs, IL

kitamali2009

Kita is a brown spotted tabby and white spayed female. Although nonstandard for the Savannah breed, it is a gorgeous and distinctive look.

Kita is one of the sweetest F1s that can be found (this is not only my bias, I have been told this by others). She insists on tons of one-on-one attention, in the forms of both loving and playing. She feels very neglected if not given 100% attention. The few times we have traveled and had a pet-sitter come into our home, she has become majorly depressed, stopped eating and drinking. She is definitely attached very deeply to her people, and when a pet-sitter actually moved in and lived with her, she fared so much better, playing with and loving on the sitter.

Due to her hard F1 love bites, her tendency to over-excitement, and her habit of tripping you for constant attention, we are looking for a home without children. And we would prefer someone who already has F1 experience.

And due to her deep emotional attachment to her people, a home with either no other cats, or just one or two whom she can dominate, would be best. She does get along well with dogs.

Her home must be indoor-only, but we would also prefer a home with access to an outdoor enclosure, since she constantly tries to escape outside through doors and windows. If she had free access to a secure outdoor enclosure, we know she would be much happier. She is easily bored and definitely needs lots of exercise and/or wildlife to watch.

She has all of the common F1 traits, like major head-butts, high energy, obsession with water (she will tip any container with water in it, spill it everywhere, and then play in it), redecorating one's entire house, high-jumping after wand toys, super-smarts (she can open our heavy steel front-door, using one paw to turn the handle and the other paw to slip into the crack as she begins to pull), very fast actions and reactions, opening drawers and cupboards and removing items, chewing on many different types of materials, and following her person around the house all the time.

She is very healthy, and up to date on all shots and checkups. She eats one small can of TikiCat food each morning, and ? cup of high-protein dry each night. She is used to Nature's Miracle litter, but has always had excellent litter box habits and would probably easily transition to another brand.

We live in Chicagoland and would prefer to drive her to her new home, but one of us can accompany her in an airplane cabin if we need to fly her. We are asking for a $500 adoption fee, plus transport costs. She will come with at least one month's worth of food and litter, as well as all her toys.

If you are interested, you can email me at: akeadle@..., and we can begin a conversation.

Locked F3 C - 8 month old female/Eleanor/San Diego, CA

Hello all,

I was recently elected to the City of La Mesa City Council, as such I am significantly reducing my Savannah breeding program. ?I have had to make some very hard decisions on who to keep and will be offering several of my queens as available.

Eleanor is an F3 C Savannah, she was born 03/24/12 and is tall and lanky. ?She has a slightly runny eye due to an injury as a kitten, but it requires no special medical attention. ?She has perfect litter box habits, likes other cats, loves to play and jump. ?She is not a lap cat, and can be a little shy, but she doesn't hide or anything. ?She is fine with children as well.

I am asking a $250.00 adoption fee and can ship (but prefer not to) from San Diego. ?I cannot consider shipping out of the US due to CITES requirements. ?

If you are interested in Eleanor, please send me an email. ?She is spayed and ready to go. ?

Locked Female F5 Savannah available to good home--she is located in Illinois

Her name is Chica and she is awesome. My husband and I took her in about a year ago, we've been stalling to find a home for her because we love her so much! But alas, we cannot stall any longer. She is only about 2 years old, spayed, and would do best in a home with no other animals. She is friendly, outgoing, and affectionate. We do also have a Bengal cat and they do seem to get along well together. Moving forward, I do think it'd be best if she was the only pet in a household because for the first few months she marked her territory and I believe that was because we have another cat. That doesn't seem to be an ongoing problem but when you first introduce her into your home it might. She would come with her litterbox, cat houses, and toys just so she could have something familiar to make the transition as easy on her as possible. If you live within driving distance we would be willing to transport her to you. Cost is $200 but negotiable to the right home. Please contact me for pictures and more info if interested! She is quite the catch! :) Phone number: 630-267-0641, Email: jmf_987@...

Locked F3 Savannah "Stanzi" Available - WA State

See photos at

Stanzi (pronounced "Ston-zee"..aka "ZiZi") is a 3 year-old F3 Savannah available for adoption in Kenmore, WA. She has been in rescue for over a year, originally surrendered due to life changes in her family. Unfortunately, she has been having a hard time getting adopted due to some special needs.

Stanzi is a beautifully spotted girl with a sweet disposition. She is very chatty and loves to play with any kind of toy moving on the ground. She does not enjoy being picked up but certainly loves attention and being petted. Stanzi is very vocal and has a very loud voice! She is generally reserved around strangers but you will learn to earn her trust with time and some chicken jerky ;-)

Stanzi has hip dysplasia, which has been stable her whole life. She requires an easy and inexpensive glucosamine supplement mixed into her food, and she also requires stair steps or ramps up and down from things to avoid having to jump. She has pain medication that is kept on hand to give as needed for the occasional flare-up, though they are rare and usually induced from either too much activity/jumping. The vet says that corrective surgery is not necessary at this time, though if elected to be done it would improve her condition. Stanzi also has a mild heart murmur which has never caused any problems and is also stable.

Lastly, we have been working with Stanzi on PICA behaviors (eating foreign objects). She has a tendency to eat fabrics (blankets, towels, sweaters, etc.) She does not eat carpet. She has been known to also eat other things and had to have surgery in the previous home to remove items she had eaten. It is believed to be anxiety-related and happens mainly when she is left alone for long periods of time by herself with these objects present. She was put on Prozac earlier this year which has helped. She may need it life long, depending on what kind of home she gets adopted into.

An ideal home for Stanzi is one with a large outdoor enclosure, or with an outdoor enclosure or her own room that she can stay in when she can't be supervised. She is currently living in her own room within our home that has minimal objects and materials she could eat, and she is doing okay. Stanzi does not do well with other cats and needs to be an only cat, but her previous owners said she did do well with dogs. She would not do well with young children but older, gentle children should be okay.

Stanzi is spayed, vaccinated, combo tested, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $160. Please email troopurrs@... with any questions or for an adoption application. Please include information about your home and living situation in your email. Please note- I will not ship Stanzi. Adoptions will only be considered within driving distance of Kenmore, WA.
