Kody is a very handsome, funny (almost)6 year old neutered Savannah male
in San Francisco, CA. Via paperwork, he is a "high percentage F4B" but
in serval percentage he is a "virtual F2" being 25% serval. He is not a
large cat though, only ~12lbs but as you can see he is proportionally
leggy and very Savannah in type.


Kody was returned to us recently, and although we have enjoyed his stay
(he loves to snuggle under covers, and groom hair and climb in your lap)
he is used to less activity and our household has too many dominant cats
for him to integrate here. He left here as a kitten and lived with one
older cat and a dog. The cat passed so Kody has spent most of his life
just with the dog whom he adored. Kody as an adult is not willing to
accept other cats.


Kody had an unusual but not unheard of reaction to a new baby screaming,
some cats interpret that pitch of screaming as a wounded animal and he
leapt to protect the baby. Because of this, he was confined to a room
for two years! We were somewhat horrified to learn of this and took him
back readily when told.


For that reason, we cannot home Kody into a home with babies, toddlers
or people that may intend having children...we do not know if this might
repeat and would prefer not to test that. He has NOT shown one
aggressive move towards the owner since that episode. In fact, they kept
him that long as they didn't want to give him up. If you met him you
couldn't believe he would do that...he's ridiculously sweet. I think
children over 8 years of age would be great, he is very playful so a
cat-savvy child with a wand toy would be his idea of fun.
Kody needs an only cat home, I could anticipate he would accept a kitten
in future but he is not at all used to other cats. He is friendly to dogs.


I will not ship Kody, either the owner needs to be able to drive or fly
to San Francisco, CA. He traveled in cabin back to me with a friend, and
did fabulously.


Kody will go to the vet this week for a health check and vaccine
updating, and is available for an adoption fee of $300. Please email
