The Christian Life
Colossians 3:12¨C17
Put on then as a chosen one,
Holy with compassionate heart;
Kindness and patience as the Son,
And humility to impart.
Forgiving one to another,
Forbearing to have a complaint;
Showing mercy to your brother,
Anger and wrath to show restraint.
For the Lord has forgiven you,
So then you must also forgive;
Showing a love that would be true,
Perfect harmony you can live.
Let the peace of Christ rule your heart,
In which indeed you have been called;
From your old ways you must depart,
So His Spirit cleanses where flawed.
Let the Word of Christ dwell amply,
Teaching in all of its wisdom;
Thankfulness in singing simply,
For the knowledge of His Kingdom.
Something you do in word or deed,
Do it in the name of the Lord;
Stressing whatever of your need,
To the Father in one accord.
