AN EXTRAORDINARY LIFE

"Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night.? And behold, an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid¡Luke 2:8-9.¡±
?
Shepherds in Christ's day were the lowest of the low.? They were looked upon as robbers and thieves. In fact, they were so low that they were never permitted to serve as witnesses in Jewish courts of law.? So why do you think Abba Father chose these "ne'er do wells" to reveal the birth of the Son of God??
?
Isn't it interesting through out the Bible, wealthy, influential people were rarely the receiver of God's glory.? Does that mean they are never receivers of God¡¯s glory?? Absolutely not, however, Abba Father chose the lowly, average people to proclaim His glory.? Jesus birth was an extraordinary happening to invade the average world.
?
How many times do we Christians hear, "I cannot receive Christ because I am not good enough" or I have sinned too much to ask Christ into my heart."? If any of this were true, Abba Father would have had His dear Son born in a palace, with all the latest technology of the day.? However, I am so thankful He chose a stinky, cold manger, and took on the humblest of form to enter this world for you and me.?
?
Jesus birth was smallest enough to ignore, but big enough to change our lives forever.? I have just come through a desert time in my life, and I rejoice in saying, that same Jesus was so faithful to me, and I never lost sight of His great love for me. Praise the Father, Son and Holy Ghost!
?
What have you done with Jesus?? What are you going to do with Jesus?? Will you continue to let Him lay in the manger, or will you pick him up, hold him, love him and turn every area of your life over to Him?? He is an extraordinary life in an ordinary, average person, like you and I...if we will only let Him.?
?
Rejoice in His birth, death and resurrection, because without all three of these happenings, we would be permanently lost forever.? Praise God, we will all fall at the feet of Jesus someday and worship Him in a way we can't even begin to imagine!? Look up dear saints, for the coming of our Lord and Savior will come again soon!? Grace, Peace and the love of Abba Father be to you all during this blessed Christmas season, and may it reflect in your life until He comes again!
