It's my birthday
4
How are you all today? I am 55 today. It snowed here yesterday, but fortunately cleared up well enough that last night, Dane and I could safely drive to Kansas City to Lonnie's Reno Club, a jazz supper club in the lower level of the Ambassador Hotel downtown. We met a friend of mine from high school and his wife. It was a great, if expensive, evening. Great food, three course fixed price meal, and great cocktails. Lonnie McFadden is a high energy singer, trumpeter, and tap dancer and puts on a great show. He also had fabulous musicians with him, young people on piano, upright bass, and drums that were just top notch. (I remembered after the evening was over that I'd seen him once before years ago. He used to tap dance at a bar with his brother. They would tap dance ON the bar; it was something to see!) I have been enjoying having a new kitten in the house. See attached photo. She was born to a feral cat that hangs around my mom's house. Two weeks ago she was wild and scared, fighting for a place at the food bowl among three teenage cats who'd swat her away (the previous batch of kittens). I fished her out of the basement window well she fell in, and she hissed and spit at me. Now she has free run of my house and is slowly cultivating a relationship with my three-year old cat Squiggy. Since his brother Lenny disappeared, I decided to call this new kitten Lenore, and Lenny for short, so that I'll have a Lenny & Squiggy again (if you don't know those names, here's a compilation of their comical entrances on Laverne & Shirley: https://youtu.be/hPfmEN6i76g?si=NTvGQ6pTLc6WG3Br). (If I lose Squiggy too soon I might rename her Laverne and go find a Shirley to keep her company, heh heh) We had a lovely Thanksgiving at my mom's house. Susan and Scott made the turkey, sweet potatoes, and green beans and brought rolls and apple pie. I made the stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, cranberry relish, and pumpkin pie. Dane and I went over the night before to set the table and tried to clear some of the stuff from the kitchen counters so there would be room for prep and to set up the buffet, but my mom resisted. She didn't NEED her calendar for several days, but is very resistant to anything changing. It's been rough. She gets worse later in the day and often very agitated (sundowning). I went to a dispensary and got cannabis gummies that are supposed to be fast acting to give her when she gets like this, but so far they haven't seemed to do anything. We tried 1 gummy, then 1.5, then 1.75--that seemed to at least do a little to calm her down. Might go straight to two next time, because the effect didn't seem to last long. She has fallen a couple of times, and while we were there tottering right in front of the stairs to the basement, so it may be that we are simply going to have to force her into assisted living before much longer. We were hoping she would recognize the need but I don't think that's going to happen. We are going to have Christmas Eve at her house like we always have but I'm wondering if it will be our last time. And then have my dad's side of the family over a few days after Christmas. As long as we handle absolutely everything for her (of course) we can do it. That's true of everything about her life though. I go over every morning to give her her morning pills and feed the feral cats. She is alone most days otherwise, unless I take her to the doctor, go back to visit a bit, or if her sister visits her or takes her to church. She's been refusing to go to church for several weeks now though. I did get her out of the house for a quick visit to the coffee shop a couple of weeks ago. And my aunt took her to doctor, senior center for lunch, and walmart one day last week when I was working from her house (like she begs me to do) but was agitated and I needed to lead an important client call and couldn't get her to stop asking me questions. Bless my aunt for turning up, taking her out and distracting her for several hours! (I was also working there that day because I was waiting for the garage door repair person to come over--and

Calendar + Updates
3
Hi Sacred Sisters! Gretchen and I have been working on our SSR calendar. First, as requested, here are the dates of our weekends for the next 2 years. The pattern is the last full weekend in April and the last full weekend in September: April 25 - 28, 2025 Sept 26 - 29, 2025 April 24 - 27, 2026 Sept 25 - 28, 2026 Save the dates! :) We're staying with our current flow: the official weekend starts Friday night and ends with closing circle on Sunday late afternoon. Sunday night lodging is included and optional. Now for a facilitator schedule update: There were a few hiccups in scheduling with Emily and Katie C. Really, it's probably that Goddess had a different ideal plan in mind for us. Right?? The stars are coming into alignment and we are trusting the timing. Here is the new plan: April 2025 - Emily Sept 2025 - Katie C April 2026 - Katie C Sept 2026 - Emily Facilitators will be with us for a full day on Saturday and a partial day on Sunday. And, here is a note from Emily: "I will send an email to send to the sisters closer to the date, but know the field begins to move as soon as you book a constellation - so NOW - it would be good for sisters to set intentions for what they wish to receive support around or manifest individually and collectively. I personally find directing the field of ancestral energy towards intentional movement is always helpful. I really look forward to seeing you all again soon! Warmly, Emily" We'll be in touch soon with next steps in working out the finances. Love,Meggie and Gretchen

Prayer Request AND Emily Blefeld 2025 :)
4
Hello Sisters, Please send my nephews Joe, Seamus, John and niece Morgan prayers of loving support as they move through the loss of their Dad. And my sister Maryann, who has been with her husband since she was a young woman, it was a really challenging relationship. May she find strength, courage and support on all levels. May Mark find his way home and be greeted on the other side. And because life is a continuous flow of the really hard moments and thank the goddess that GOOD NEWS is just around the corner. I am happy to say that Emily Blefeld said YES to Facilitating both our weekends in 2025! She was touched to hear that we are wanting more of the Constellation work. She wanted me to send you this training and certification that is coming up soon in case you are hearing the call. Also, we are offering the Alchemical Constellations Training and Facilitator Certification starting on November 7, 2024. I wonder if any of the sisters might be interested in talking with me about taking a deep dive into the heart of systemic alchemy. It's designed for individuals ready to untie the tangled threads of past generational sorrows, free themselves to live into the possibilities of spontaneous creation, and expand their lives, healing practice, and work with constellations. If so, I would be glad to meet with you or them for a consult where we would tune-in to what's moving in the thresholds of their life at this time, explore the resonance of the training, and discuss next steps. Here's the link to book a free discovery call: https://community.seeingwithyourheart.com/2024-2025-act-application. I do have scholarships available for Priestess Path Sisterhood should that be needed among the circle. With appreciation and excitement for weaving in consciousness with your sisterhood again, Emily Love TO ALL, Noreen -- Noreen Cerqua Licensed Massage Therapist - LMT Mayan Abdominal Practitioner (508) 397-8287 WombCare@... http://www.CerquaMassage.com/

Reimbursing Meggie for wood

Hi Women I had a thought at one point and forgot to mention... Do we pay Meggie for the wood she brings as part of our materials for the weekend. If not, I'd like to request that we do. In my mind it is something beyond what the rest of us are bringing. Thanks, Paige

my travel

Hello Sisters, Sooooo¡ you might know there¡¯s a hurricane happening in the Gulf, and it¡¯s impacting lots of the SE states¡ and might impact my flights. I leave Boise tonight at 1130p and land in Atlanta tomorrow morning around 7a¡ and then on to BOS to arrive around 10a. Just asking for good thoughts and prayers that I do not get stuck in Atlanta (or anywhere). I¡¯ve let the other car women know via text, so they¡¯ll have the latest on my status. sharing some thoughts...!
4
Hi Sisters, Oh my! This brain of mine is whirring in a good, creative, visioning, curious, exploring kind of way. Here are some thoughts emerging: Because heart and mind dance and weave together in so many ways, I wanted to share some thoughts I¡¯ve had about the proposal of Katie C coming in to facilitate 4 weekends for us (2 years). First, I¡¯m feeling drawn to offering to be the logistical coordinator/So-Fo from our end for the next year. I¡¯m still sitting with the idea¡ and the yes is starting to hum. This role would include keeping the SSR wheel turning smoothly including: - Booking lodging - Emails to group about the upcoming weekend, etc. - Organizing food and leadership roles - Facilitating opening and closing circle and flow on the weekends - Organizing a zoom check-in between weekends - Communication with Katie C (If someone else is interested in this role, let me/us know!) I also find it helpful to look at what the numbers of the cost per weekend might potentially be. This is what I¡¯m seeing: $1300 for lodging $1000 for Katie C $25 for membership fee $2325 per weekend total If 10 women: $233 per person per weekend If 8 women: $291 per person per weekend If 6 women: $388 per person per weekend Note #1: We could experiment with sliding scale and see how much women are willing to contribute to offset costs for sisters who need support. Note #2: Not sure if there will be material costs? We also have a materials fund we could use for this¡ Note #3: The idea was mentioned to have the local women pay for a rental car for the airport women. This would be in addition to the above weekend fees listed. Note #4: Where would Katie C sleep? And would that impact our finances at all? Note #5: I think it would lovely to have the option available to stay as members and pay the $25 per weekend and not participate in the Katie C program. These women would still be on the email list and still be welcome on zoom check-ins (the ones not pertaining to the Katie C stuff anyway). I personally would want people to sign up with the commitment of attending an official 2 year program. In order to have a clear budget, I imagine women would agree to pay for each weekend even if they couldn¡¯t come for some reason. And, while I¡¯m sharing my personal musings, I¡¯m going to just keep on flowing with it. Honestly, I¡¯m not drawn to the work of Clarissa Pinkole Estes. I¡¯d love to do breathwork. I also know Katie C calls herself ¡°an emotional baggage handler¡± and would be very interested in seeing if she could design ritual for exploring sacred rage as well as a grief ceremony. I¡¯d also be curious to hear if she has any energy clearing or healing tools or brain/body integration techniques that she could teach. Last, I can feel myself growing into a new way of being with SSR. I want you all to stay! So much so! And, I know we are in transition and feel really sad that perhaps some may find it time to go. Rather than chase or convince or grasp tightly, I¡¯m in a place of gently and solidly holding space with a big heart for each sister to choose what is right for her. I respect that we each have our life journey with different chapters and that you know what is best for you at this time. We¡¯re stepping into our more crone-y years and that may have a different flavor and look. I believe we can do this in a good way with so much deep love for one another as we emerge and evolve into whatever adventure is next. Phew! That a glimpse into this mind of mine. :) Safe travels and I'm happy to get you see many of you so soon! Love you all, Meggie
