SN engineer Joe Lewis pilots WP 705 along the Esplanade in Chico in a light movement to the airport to pick up a few boxcars. Not often was this kind of operation; usually at this time empty runs to the airport were conducted with a caboose. This trip was made sans hack since all cars brought up from Yuba City were dropped off at the SP-SN interchange at Barber. This view is looking up the Esplanade on the way to the airport. ~Bill Shippen?
