rigging


 

Just looking for some guidance.? Working on tuning the rigging on my 402 after this years launch.? I have a LOOS gauge? and would like to know what are the optimum values for tensioning the stays.? Any ideas or guidance would be appreciated.? Thanks Mike

Here’s one of the links but my box from the Loos gauge has the measurements and you’ll have to verify size of the wire or rod).?
It’s best to get it close to straight by measuring side to side and site up the mast for any bends at the shrouds. ?Then go to the closer rigging.?

There are different sizes of Loos gauges, be sure to get the one for your size of rigging. ?I also believe there is a different one for rod vs wire.

It does appear that there are two different gauges for rod or wire.?

And there are instructions toons on the web to make your own gauge.?

Please check your manual for the sizes (yes, there are two at a minimum) if you have rod so you have the correct gauge. For Sabre 38 MK2 the Loos model is RT-10.
