S362 main hatch model
开云体育Attached is the Ocean Series spares manual.? I believe on my 97 362 the two mains are size 60 but I am 350 miles away from the boat and can't find notes on them.On 3/23/2025 4:43 PM, Bill Graves via

Our 1995 362 #150 has?Lewmar Size 60 Ocean Series?Hatch.
?We replaced both in 2021. ?I think we got them from Defender, but I’d have to check receipts since as everyone knows Defender purged their records.

Thanks everyone for chiming in.? Measurements on the boat today show the deck cutout is 20.375" square, outer dimension of hatch flange is 22.5" square, and height is 2" all of which are pretty close to Lewmar Ocean 60 specs. 开云体育Ted did you do the job yourself? If so where did you get the lenses? ?Lewmar doesn’t like you changing the lenses on the Ocean Series so they just don’t sell them.

开云体育Hi Ted,Oh that is right, thanks for jogging my memory. ?You can’t buy lenses from them they want you to buy the whole lid assembly. Allison Lehman Swiftsure Yachts allison@... Cell: 510.912.5800 Fax: 510.860.4640

开云体育I’m not sure if there are handles or other additions to your hatches and Allison tells me only Hatchmaster can do the refurb that we know of in the U.S. ?Can someone send a photo why the polycarbonate can’t be replaced? This is not a rework of the handles. The rubber gaskets can be found on Amazon readily.?In the S28-2 and S36 from 1987 I have had success with prying out the old polycarbonate and replacing with 1/4” Polycarbonate stock from this company that purchased a small buffalo branch and shipped from their Nationwide stock. ?The material is easy to use a basic jig saw and sander for precise measuring.? I got a semi reflective darker color of my choice. ? I did pry out the original polycarbonate bedded in something similar and have the frames sandblasted and powder coated by a steel fence maker locally for less than the average boat bucks. ?For reference here’s the approx. $60 per hatch plus shipping on the order. ?Bedded with Dow 795, ?use a cleaner on your gloved finger to smooth it, ?the first one I did is over 10 years old not leaking and the new set is 4 years old this year. The sand blast and ?paint job is the real benefit but I would like to protect the poly with something like this:? Anyone ever used these?? Stephanie Arista, S36 #67, Lake Ontario? Shburgess1207@...? 开云体育Hatchmasters has precut lens and will install them with new gaskets if you ship the hatch lids to them. No need to ship the frames.?Dave On Mar 24, 2025, at 11:17?AM, Allison Lehman via groups.io <allisonleh@...> wrote:

开云体育Dave, have you ever taken one of these apart to see what they look like inside? I can’t figure out why Lewmar sells lenses for everything else but the ocean series.Allison Lehman Swiftsure Yachts 510 912-5800 cell 510 860-4640 fax allisonleh@... ? ? ?? 开云体育You know you can buy the whole lid/ top by itself. . You get glass, gasket, handles, the works for not a lot of money compared the hassle of doing everything piece by piece or a whole new hatch.?

开云体育No I haven’t. To replace the lens on the Ocean series it is necessary to remove the gasket. In researching replacing our leaking gaskets and crazed lenses I learned that reinstalling the gasket is really tricky so I opted to have Hatchmasters do the job for me. It wasn’t cheap, but it worked. If the lens is being replaced the gasket should be replaced too. Of course now I can’t easily find the links to those articles.?www.hatchmasters.com Dave Second Star S362 #113 Fair Haven, NY/Lake Ontario
