Carter,? thanks for sharing, I've wanted? to do something similar for a while and was considering some type of mix & pour foam I've read about. Your and Matt's solution looks much more effective.

You'll notice that I had to dismount the stove to gain access to one side of the fridge box. Where no access was possible (the outboard and bottom sides) I drilled directly into the fridge.
After removing the foam muffins I sealed the holes (all 1/4") with putty and sanded smooth, then painted. It actually looks better now than before the painting?
