David,
A case can be made for either one you talk about never replacing your true holes again, but what is your labor worth every time you service them if you don¡¯t value your labor then you¡¯re ahead with your Spartans. If you don¡¯t want to do the labor and you¡¯re paying somebody $125 an hour Well that starts to add up rather quickly and you might consider the Maralon instead. Either way, both are very good products with very different approaches.

I just replaced seven of my through-hulls and seacocks with the Tru Design units and could not be happier. The action is massively superior, and the rated strength (500 #'s lateral load?) is very reassuring.
