Re: Head Sink Plumbing Questions

Hi Rob,

Yes, I have had annoying slow leaks in the threads, which after much head scratching I traced to the taper vs straight incompatibility. Pipe compound fixed it. The Shur-flo adapters should?also work, but they are usually used with fresh water pumps and I don't know if they are rated for hot water.?

Hi Foster, yes, after I compared the price of the new model and the service kit, counted my time toward another project, and factored the likely chance of lasting and durable success, I realized it's probably better just to go new.? Still have to fabricate a shelf for it to sit on though, I guess.

Jim, are you saying that it's probably leaking at the connector to faucet joint, not the hose?? ?I guess the barb end fits our freshwater hose (1/2 inch)?
?
Thanks for the help!
