Augustine, that is a ground. ?Your packing gland should not be green. ?I suspect that is a big source of leakage. It looks like you have had standing water there for a while. ?You should take a bronze brush to the packing gland and clean it up and make sure it isn¡¯t leaking.

This morning there was significantly less new water accumulated in the bilge so there has been a significant improvement since yesterday.
