Looking for any advice on a current issue with my Max Prop Easy.?
When sailing- when we normally put the transmission in reverse to stop the shaft from spinning and to feather the prop.?
Recently we were sailing from SC to FL and had a very difficult time getting the transmission out of reverse prior to restarting engine. ? It was real stuck.? We had to head straight into the wind, luff the sails, and about stop the boat to get the transmission to budge out of reverse.? Normal motoring and maneuvering around the dock the transmission easily goes from fwd to reverse and back out of reverse. ?
Wondering if it maybe lack of grease or gearbox issue.? The prop has not been greased in over 1.5 years.
