Tim I have some experience with Marrs. ?Be prepared for lots of delays and a bit of confusion on their part. ?They are very difficult to deal with as far schedules go. You will need drawings in CAD, and they want you to measure the keel bolt locations with a laser. ?Then when they are satisfied they will input the info and the build a mold and the finally ship it. ?This process took ?5 months after they recieved drawings. ?

If prices are even close the Mexican keel builders are far more professional and their castings are top notch.

John,

I agree with Len.? I am looking to do the same with my 38.? I have been in contact with MARS keels to do this work.? They manufactured the lead keels.
Right now they are unable to do the work as I was informed that they are in the process of upgrading ventilation in their shop.? I am not sure when they will be ready.
?
MARS is equipped with helping with paperwork to get it back and forth across the border.? They will also ship it back in a frame to allow easier reattachment to the hull.
?
I am targeting this fall to get mine done.
