I replaced the Raritan with a 5 gallon Isotemp with the mixer.? Has worked well, 5 gallons seems to be enough hot water.? It is plumbed with the engine cooling system and has a 110 heater.? Mike

Arcadia's original Raritan 12 Gal. hot water heater has rusted out and is leaking, so it is time for a replacement.? We currently do not have a mixing valve, so I am planning to add that as well as a 3 way valve for winterizing.

Instead of simply replacing the Raritan, I am wondering if anyone has experience to share with using an Isotemp or Quick heater as a replacement. I see the Isotemp is stainless and plastic, comes with a mixing valve, and is less expensive than the Raritan. It looks as if either of those might require extending or replacing the heat exchanger hoses.?
