The settings look fine.
?
Are you sure you have CTTS enabled on your HT?
?
What mode did you select in ASL3 setup?? It needs to be duplex=1 in rpt.conf

Yaesu HT w/ CTCSS - Tone enabled
Duplex type - 1 half duplex hotspot

thanks

In simpleusb menu Item V do COS and PTT change when you key your HT?

No change (photo) before/during PPT

Thanks

My Yaesu DR-1X automatically shifts the TX frequency by 600 kHz at 446.100 MHz until I change it.? Check and make sure yours is set to simplex.? ?CONFIG>RPT SHIFT>SIMPLEX

Well, that did the trick? Thanks for troubleshooting, greatly appreciated!?

It's worth mentioning that 446.1 mHz is indeed an active repeater input in some places.

Someone in Brooklyn who had a SHARI and didn't change it's frequency found that out the hard way once.

As a new ham, myself.... other than listening to your ALSN frequency with no PL tone and checking repeaterbook in your area, is there any other thing we should do to stay out of the "hardway" column ?
?
I did notice when I setup my hotspot sans a PL tone that I was getting some stray signals into my node, not full conversations just some noise.? I tossed a PL tone on it and I have yet to hear any noise.? ? ?This just reminded me to remove the RX tone on my HT to make sure I am not hearing anything.?

I used the repeaterbook app and checked the frequency I wanted to use
and 5 MHz up and down within 25 miles of my site. All good here.
