Newbie Question

Sent this message earlier but system didnt think I was subscribed..

I have read that the Radio module has delays in opening and receiving in other forums.? My guess is it goes to sleep to conserve power.? Has anyone else detected the slight delay when receiving or transmitting through the SHARI?

BTW to the designer,? I purchased all three products and have to say you have done one fantastic job!? Love them.

Failed to ask my actual question... Anyone have a fix or resolution to remove the delays?

Thanks in advance.

Is no one detecting the delays when transmitting or receiving while using the device? ? Only occurring on if transmitting audio very quickly upon keyup.?

Are you referring to the audio that you hear on your radio when SHARI transmits? By"detecting the delays" do you mean that you are missing some of the audio that you know you should hear?? ? For instance, when Allstar makes its hourly time announcement, you notice that you miss a little of the audio at the start of the transmission.

I use a Kenwood TH-F6A for my HT.? If I have the battery saver enabled? I sometimes miss the first part of the audio when SHARI transmits until the receiver on my HT samples the frequency at the battery saver interval I have scheduled.

Indeed, yes exactly what you describe but the delay is as if the SHARI¡¯s RF module is the one going to sleep then waking. ? Example. ? If I inject a tone and transmit with SHARI receiving. It opens up on ALLStar then the tone follows shortly after. ?

Another, ?If someone on the ALLStar side ¡°Quick Keys¡± I.e. talking at the same time they begin transmission the transmitter opens and the audio then fades in. ?

This behavior is heard by all on ALLStar and more than one radio local to the SHARI ?so I am confident that the ¡®Sleep¡¯ appearance is the SHARI¡¯s RF component. ? Also as said earlier research of the NiceRF SA-818 reveal same behaviors.? That research does not hint at a fix though. Was hoping SHARI specific users may have identified and engineered a fix.?
