Re: SADRC 40324 is Down - Please connect to Wires X 68724 (Our backup network)

Hello Paul,

We need to assemble a block diagram to make this easier for people to understand.? It's a good question and great topic.

Yaesu Wires X
Wires X is a Yaesu proprietary software that connects Yaesu repeaters together.? You can also connect your Yaesu radio and use your radio as a? PDN (Personal Digital Node)? You? can connect to any Wires X room in the world.? Wires X works with the FTM 100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 510, FT1, FT2, FT3, and FT5.? There is not a provision for the FT 70 to connect to Wires X.? This is NOT YSF.

YSF

YSF is an open-sourced software developed by amateurs.? It's a platform of its own and has nothing to do with Wires X.? If we didn't bridge this (see below) then you would only be on this standalone netwrok.

SADRC Bridge from YSF to Wires X

We bridge a YSF connection that sits at one of repeater sites and retransmits YSF to our Wires X network.? When we transmit on the repeater it comes out both on all of the repeaters, Wires X (PDN connections, and YSF.

Not all Wires X rooms are connected or have bridges such as ours.? We operate Wires X, YSF US SADRC 40324 and FCS 3 Room 46.

A deeper explanation is required but I hope this answers your question.??

We have some information on our website regarding YSF and FCS and channel guides.

Please contact me direct at n8iqt@... and I can steer you in the right direction.

Can I ask a stupid new guy question? I can't hit a repeater but I did set up a Pi-Star (technically WPSD, thanks to whomever sent out that presentation). But I think since WPSD/Pi-star can only hit YSF reflectors and not wires-x rooms ? (according to my search results). So, am I able to still connect to the room? Is there a bridge available (I'm not entirely sure what that is but the search results discussed using one).?
Thanks for any answers and I look forward to learning the systems more.?

Hello

Our 40324 Main Wires X is down . ?In the interim, if you would like, please move to our secondary wires x room wires X 68724.

We will let you know when the main network is restored. ?I believe they have a wide outage and no information when it will be restored. ?This is a good emergency test for operators to make sure they can reconnect on the fly.

See below for our backup rooms posted on our website for future reference.

If anyone is looking for Rohn 45 or 25, this man has a LOT of it and very reasonable pricing.? I just bought 3 sections for a little tower I need for my SAT tracking system that I am in process of building.? And if you go to his place you will be jealous for sure as he as multiple towers and? antennas running and an EME array to be really make your mouth water. :)

? I*m sure there will be issues but hope they will be few, addressable and surmountable. ?
The changeover will be easier if you*re already using Groups.io. ?

It*s been held on the AARC Flagship station 146.940 all this time. ?
