Replacing handbrake mounting plate
The handbrake pivot on my 1977 S1 is broken. To replace/repair it it looks like I need access to the inside of the sill. I could not find a previous discussion on the best way to do this, if that is

I've seen the Lotus PBC kit on a body-less chassis in person and it is quite nice. But it does require extensive fabrication and welding to make it work. It is a nice upgrade but I agree with the

A conversion kit would have to consist of top links, plus replacement
hub carriers and driveshafts and you'd still be feeding the lower link
loads into the gearbox.
