Re: cam carrier
Hi Rich, Basically yes and it does make for a better oil seal without the wrap around cam cover. I think the 907 carriers may be interchangeable but the 910 carriers are specific for intake or exhaust

Re: cam carrier
Yes, I have done this on my 1974 Jensen-Healey I have a 910 cam carrier on the exhaust side of the 2.0L 907 motor in my Healey. I did it a few years ago and I don't recall any unusual issues.

Re: LEd Headlights
This is what I used on the S1: https://vintagecarleds.com/shop/5-75-inch/vc5000-ultimate-5-75-inch-kit/ Direct drop in - looks factory and puts out a great light pattern. Rob

Re: Fuel tank xover plumbiing
Thanks for that, going to be at log 42, so hopefully somebody there with an S2 that I can take a bunch of pictures of because as I go to reassembly I see I¡¯m not quite remembering all I need to, but

Re: Fuel tank xover plumbiing
Crossover hose on the S1/S2 is small. I think it¡¯s basically a standard fuel line. The later cars had a much bigger like 1¡± or maybe larger hose. Actually the later cars had 2 custom formed hoses

Fuel tank xover plumbiing
Had a secondary (the one without the sender unit) fuel tank made, but any particulars on how to plumb it for the crossover tubing. Like what is the threading on that bottom pipe piece and did people

H/L Motor Oddity

Re: 78 Esprit s2 Wiper Switch
Rummaging through the chaos I found a switch purchased some time back from Rimmer Bros listed under Triumph Stag parts on the website. It's clearly a recent repro part, detent action has a different

Re: Oil Switch, Federal Spec
To quote one of many non-PC jokes made by a hockey buddy, A "No" is just a pre-unconcious "Yes". Yikes.

Re: Oil Switch, Federal Spec
You need to be more receptive. If it identifies as NO, you have to learn to accept that¡.. {I¡¯m sorry. I can¡¯t say that with a straight face¡} ? Bill Sent: Tuesday, June 27, 2023

Re: Oil Switch, Federal Spec
Turns out the swicth is normally open, won't serve in this case.

Re: Oil Switch, Federal Spec
Of course the question is moot if the switch is of the normally open type.

Re: S2 dellorto main jet
Note that the later specs, all use a larger choke, so it¡¯s not a matter of just swapping jetting for the different versions. The factory jetting is really pretty good though unless you¡¯ve done

Re: S2 dellorto main jet
230 is the main air corrector, 7772.8 is the emulsion tube and, and 160 is the main jet. That all follows the spec in the Lotus manual. Stock idle jet holder is a 7850.7 and a 50 idle jet so you
