I also had a problem with leaking coolant in my S1.It turned out to be the pipes through the chassis. Hopefully yours isnt the same. I had to remove the radiator etc and get at them through the front to replace.

Tip ! if it comes from the center beam through the stitched welds . It could be the coolant tubes. You can replace them , with aluminum of copper. Call me if you can questions. I can't send you pics of videos on WhatsApp, or text.

Thanks for all the replies, and thank you to Peter for the kind offer of help! I'm Oregon, in Deschutes county but I may well end up calling you one day. I don't have a jack but I've used a phone camera to look around the radiator and it seems the collant residue is across most of the bottom of the radiator, but not any higher as far as i can see. I bought some distilled water and a coolant pressure tester kit to try and identify if it's the radiator that is leaking for sure.
