I have a 1977 Lotus Esprit S1 with WEBER'S CARBORATORS 40 DCOE-18 , I use the 25 d 4 Distributor with points. I use NGK BP6ES , I use MSD copper core 8.5 MM ignition wires .
3 OHM PERTRONIX flamethrower 40501
Timing set a 10 degree BTDC
The runs like a TRAIN. I don't understand why people want to change to electronic ignition. Nothing wrong with points.

Tum so pulled my 23d dist and replace with a 123 electronic distributor.? But I seem to have new new distributor in all the way, yet cant tighten the distributor clamp. It seems possible the new distributors shaft is slightly longer. Hard to tell. The clamp is the standard and when the new distributor is in it has like a 1/6 inch gap before the clamp could be in the spot to tighte . Anyone here running the 123 distributor have this issue? Sending this from my phone can attach photos later. Chasing this distributor oil leaks been annoying as hell
