American Flyer and American Models in the Garden

Yesterday on the sunny Saterday afternoon I ran some S gauge in the garden and made this video:

Fred - nice!? The American Models pacific certainly produces the smoke!? Is your garden layout dead rail?

BTW, does anyone here have a solution for the droopy vestibule end of the heavyweight observation car (the still picture at the beginning of Fred's video illustrates this)?? I have a similar problem with one of mine.? It looks like the whole floor at that end of the car droops (so it's not just the railings).? It's on my list of things to 'fix', but I need to finish setting up my layout first.

Thank you ich,

My garden layout is with powered track. I have a power car with multiple transformers for all the different trains and gauges I use (AC/DC/DCC/M?rklin).

Neat Flyer video! Regarding the drooping AF observation car I have used a steel reinforcing plate with several holes drilled ?through the centerline of the floor and attaching the plate with bolts that are tightened to pull the car floor into a flat position.

No details yet, but there’s a “rumor” of a 3D printed floor in the works, and may be available by the convention this summer…..probably sooner.
