O Scale West is only two weeks away! It is located at the Hyatt Regency Santa Clara in Santa Clara, CA, and will be held May 23-25. Family registration for the entire event is $50. Register on-line at ?

O Scale West includes a swap meet for O scale 2-rail, S scale, and all scales narrow gauge trains, clinics, a favorite vote model contest, home layout visits, and our own OSW Company Store. This year a special event tour of the Brightside yard and shops will fire off the meet at 2 PM Friday May 23 for OSW registered attendees. See and photograph over 2 dozen steam and diesel locomotives including the restored SP 9010 Krauss-Maffei diesel-hydraulic and 75 vintage passenger and freight cars. Tables are still available but some last minute exhibitors are registering so don't delay. Rooms at the Hyatt – at the special OSW rate of $169 are extended to include the Wednesday before the meet.

The many local rail attractions have been described in a previous post. And don't miss the opportunity to visit the in Sacramento along with the exhibit. You can get on/off a Capitol Limited train (WiFi, food) at its stop that's less than a mile from the hotel and walk to the museum from the Sacramento stop. There are multiple trains a day?on the Capitol Corridor service.
