I came }{ close to my EM-1 sideswiping my J1 so that ended it all for me. Big turns with wide spacing so NOTHING will hit anywhere. ? If you plan like I did that keeps you from tearing down and starting over when you get THAT loco years later that you never thought you would own, and it will not run on your current layout. . I am already *sure* everything I own will run on every inch of track. That was rule #1 to not be broken. ? In fact one of the reasons that nailed my decision to go S over HO once I retired was the notation in the AM catalog that the equipment would run on 20R. ? It didn't take me long to decide to expand, but it was a crucial part of setting the hook.? ( you can also hide most of a 21" R in a tunnel or behind a view block and lead into it with something more gentle)
