Ron made these for the Central NJ S gaugers in 1988. The prototype was a 40¡¯ plug door insulated boxcar rebuilt from a wood reefer leased from North American in captive service for Ballantine Beer. Ironically, I can¡¯t find my model photo, but here is the prototype¡.

Ted,
There were two in the Jack Sudimak estate for sale.? I am not sure if they are still there.
Next time I am over I can check and take a photo.
They may be unassembled kits or built up with scale wheels and KD couplers.
If memory serves me, the car was orange with the NYC Early Bird logo.? Plug Door.

Ted,
I picked the car up second hand from an estate with our box. So I do not know it's origine.

This was the Central Jersey S Scalers 1988 Convention car. 2 numbers were available including 1988. More information is on the NASG website.

I have seen several replies regarding the Jersey Central plug door;
These are the ones that I seek photos of;

So far, my search hasn't turned up the S scale car. In case it helps jog someone's memory, I assume this is the color scheme that you're looking for.
